The Rams went all in with the Myles Garrett trade and now have even gone a step further with adding Aaron Donald to the roster. They have set the bar really high for themselves, and it almost seems like it’s Super Bowl or bust. They are a +500 favorite to win the Super Bowl, which is 5 to 1. People saying that the favorite doesn’t often win the Super Bowl, that is true, but they are supposed to win it. At 5 to 1, the Rams have a 20% chance to win the Super Bowl, which means it is still more likely that they don’t win the Super Bowl than win the Super Bowl. As a fan of the team, I am just glad they do everything they can to put themselves in the position to win. There is so much to a football season that goes beyond just the talent on the team. Injuries play a big role in how a season turns out, and there is no way to predict which teams will stay healthy. They haven’t even played their first regular-season game yet, and I think the great part of this team is that Head Coach Sean McVay has always done a great job of selling his teams on the one-game-at-a-time approach. They are going to go through adversity during a season, and the most important thing will be how they respond to it. That is what makes me excited about this team. The Rams have clearly put themselves in a position to compete for a Super Bowl, but putting together a talented roster is only part of it. Now they have to stay healthy, handle the adversity that comes with an NFL season, and take it one game at a time. As a Rams fan, I couldn’t ask for much more than giving themselves every opportunity to win it all.
