Turning Point USA is having what they’re calling an “All-American Halftime Show,” but it looks a lot more like an All-White Halftime Show. Kid Rock is the headliner, with Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett also on the lineup. Apparently this is their idea of what “All-American” looks and sounds like. I’m also wondering why they’re calling it a halftime show, because it isn’t halftime of anything. There’s no game. No teams. No first half. How can you have a halftime show without two halves around it? If they really wanted to call it a halftime show, maybe they should also have their own “All-White Football Game.” Put together a game made up entirely of only white players who fit Turning Point USA’s racist view of what an American is supposed to look like. Then the halftime show would at least make sense.
