Attorney General Pam Bondi is the latest Donald Trump loyalist to be fired. Trump seems to be upset that she was not going after his political opponents enough. Does he realize that the United States Attorney General is not his personal lawyer? The job is supposed to serve the American people and uphold the law, not protect one person or target whoever the president doesn’t like. Her incompetence was a great reason to fire her, but that is not why Trump did it. Did she uphold the law? Absolutely not. If incompetence were really the reason she was fired, she would have been fired a long time ago. Actually, she should have never gotten the job in the first place. Instead, he kept her in office for as long as he could because she was loyal and because she protected him from the Epstein files for as long as she could. Loyalty is the only thing that matters to Trump, not performance or qualifications. As long as someone is protecting him and doing what he wants, they stay. The moment they stop, or no longer have the power to do so, they become disposable. The question is, who will it be next? Kash Patel? Karoline Leavitt?
