Democrats want to make an issue out of Ken Paxton, who is running for the U.S. Senate in Texas, being seen in a video with his mistress on his way to a trip to Iceland with her, Tracy Duhon. He is a MAGA-endorsed candidate, so something like this actually won’t do him any harm politically. His supporters will dismiss it, say his personal life doesn’t matter, or move on from it quickly and pretend like it never happened. Well it did happen and this is why his wife filed for divorce. At the same time personal lives matter when it’s not their own candidate. They are quick to get into the personal life of the Democrat who is running for U.S. Senate in Texas, James Talarico. They continue with their homophobic attacks and rumors that he is gay. So his personal life matters, but not Paxton’s? They will ingnore facts that are right in front of them about Paxton yet accept made up lies about Talarico as absolute facts. Republicans want to be the party of high moral values, but not when it comes to their own. They will forgive him for his cheating and infidelity, just like they have done with their choice for president. They only like to question other people’s moral values but never seem to apply the same standards to themselves. When it is someone on the other side, character and family values suddenly become very important. But when it is one of their own, those same issues become something people should ignore and say it’s a personal matter. The best part is that Tracy Duhon is a Christian influencer. She seems to want to influence other people to have Christian values but doesn’t seem too concerned about her own values. Both of them were married at the time they started their affair in 2024. These are the people who claim that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman and often talk about protecting traditional values. But is it? Apparently, it’s not so sacred to them. It’s not at all about values for them, but a way to use their values to judge other people.
